The SYMM3Z DC Molded Case Circuit Breaker, supplied by China manufacturer Zhejiang Soutya New Energy LLC, is a dedicated 1500 V DC moulded-case circuit-breaker engineered for over-current and short-circuit protection in large commercial rooftops, agricultural-greenhouse or utility-scale ground-mounted PV plants rated 50 kW and above.

    The SYMM3Z DC Molded Case Circuit Breaker, supplied by China manufacturer Zhejiang Soutya New Energy LLC, is a 1500 V DC moulded-case circuit-breaker built for over-current and short-circuit protection in large commercial, agricultural or utility-scale PV plants. Housed in a UV-stabilised, IP65-rated polycarbonate enclosure, the breaker offers 2/3-pole, bidirectional and non-polarised switching with a 20 kA DC breaking capacity. Internal thermal-magnetic trips provide precise overload and fault isolation, while front-mounted rotary handle gives clear ON-OFF indication and pad-lockable safety. Engineered for multi-string sub-arrays, it assures reliable protection and visible-break isolation.

    Application scenarios

    1.In large-scale ground-mounted 1500V solar power plants, SYMM3Z-800A/3P circuit breakers are installed between combiner boxes and inverters. These units provide 20 kA breaking capacity and 1500 V insulation level, effectively isolating lightning-induced arc faults without requiring additional isolation devices.

    2.For large agrivoltaic greenhouses (50-150 kW), our 1500 V DC protection solution offers dedicated 400 A circuit protection for each north-south row. This arrangement allows selective isolation of faulty strings while ensuring continuous power supply to irrigation pumps and other critical loads on adjacent rows, maintaining both agricultural operations and system reliability.

    3.When upgrading central-inverter skids from 1000 V to 1500 V bus voltage, the SYMM3Z housing remains compatible—only requiring magnetic trip recalibration. This approach significantly reduces retrofit costs and recertification time while maintaining full system performance.

    4.1500 V battery energy storage containers: bidirectional, non-polarized breakers protect the DC link between the PV array and DC-DC converter, capable of interrupting 20 kA short-circuit currents seamlessly during both charging and discharging operations.

    5.PV-powered EV ultra-fast-charge plazas; 1500 V insulation enables the breaker to be installed directly on the high-voltage bus supplying stacked DC chargers, with 250 A branch circuits providing individual protection for each dispenser cabinet—all compliant with NEC 690.12 and UL 489B within a unified product family.
