The SYCM7 PV Monitoring Box supplied by China manufacturer Zhejiang Soutya New Energy LLC, is a dedicated data-concentration unit commonly deployed in residential, C&I and agrivoltaic PV plants rated 5 kW to 60 kW and above.
▶ Configuration: a protocol converter, data collector, local storage, CPU board, PSU and surge protection.
The SYCM7 PV Monitoring Box IP65 Enclosure, supplied by China manufacturer Zhejiang Soutya New Energy LLC, includes a
dedicated data collector for the photovoltaic and energy storage system monitoring management platform. It enables
Interface aggregation, protocol conversion, data collection, data storage, centralized monitoring, and centralized
maintenance for various devices within the photovoltaic and energy storage systems.
Networking Applications
Applicable for Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Systems:
1.Supports near-end operation via mobile app through built-in WLAN.
2.Supports networking viaRs485:
- Connects to Huawei inverters, PID, and other devices.
- Connects to third-party inverters, environmental monitoring instruments, box substations (STS), and meters using the
standard Modbus-RTU protocol. - Connects to meters using the DL/T645 protocol.
- Connects to devices using the standard IEC103 protocol.
3.Supports networking via Ethernet to connect inverters, smart energy storage controllers (Smart PCS), intelligent
string energy storage systems, MBUS CCO, and STS.
4.Supports MBUS networking to connect Huawei inverters and PID-PVBOX that supportMBUS communication.
5.Supports dual-plane redundant networking for reliable transmission.
6.Supports connection to management systems:
- Connects to management systems or third-party devices using Modbus-TCP protocol via wired or wireless network.
- Connects to management systems or third-party devices using IEC104 protocol via wired network in a local area network.
- Connects to management systems or third-party devices using GOOSE protocol via wired network.
Note:
Does not support networking via 4G/3G/2G or LTE private networks to connect to management systems using IEC104 protocol.
Typical Networking Scenarios
Supports fiber ring networking, fiber star networking, and Ethernet star networking.
1.Fiber Ring Networking
Note:
The fiber ring network composed of SmartLoggers can connect up to 15 SmartLoggers, each of which can connect to
inverters, environmental monitoring instruments, meters, and other devices.
The fiber switch must support the standard RSTP protocol and be enabled. Set the switch's bridge priority higher than
0x8000 of the SmartLogger(recommended: 0x7000; the lower the value, the higher the bridge priority). The configuration
method forRSTP and bridge priority should be consulted with the manufacturer. If the switch does not support RSTP, the
fiber ring network must be converted to a chain or star topology.
Multiple fiber ring networks can be aggregated through an Ethernet switch and then connected to the management system.
2.Fiber or Ethernet Star Networking
Note:
Multiple SmartLoggers can be aggregated through an Ethernet switch and then connected to the management system.
When connecting SmartLoggers to the Ethernet switch via fiber, the maximum communication distance is 12 kilometers (with
optional 100 Mbps optical module) or 10 kilometers (with optional 1 Gbps optical module); when connected via Ethernet
cable, the maximum distance is100 meters.
SmartLogger supports wireless networking including 4G/3G/2G and LTE private networks.
3.4G Networking
4.LTE Private Network Networking
Note:
The WAN port of the SmartLogger connects to the CPE (customer-premises equipment) via a POE module and a POE surge
protector.
The IP address of the SmartLogger and the IP address of the CPE must be set within the same subnet.
