1500V Firefighter Safety Switch

The Photovoltaic Firefighter Safety Switch is designed to meet the fire safety requirements of photovoltaic (PV) systems. In emergency situations, it quickly isolates and disconnects the photovoltaic DC power supply, thereby ensuring the safety of the photovoltaic power generation system. It is suitable for both residential and commercial and industrial photovoltaic power generation systems, with a circuit voltage as high as 1500V, meeting the requirements of high-power photovoltaic power generation systems.

Application scenarios

1. Utility-scale ground-mounted arrays operating at 1500 Vdc use the device to meet NEC 690.12, shutting down 200–300 m-long strings from a single 24 V controller located in the inverter station.  

2. Large commercial flat roofs rated 50–100 kW deploy the RSD to isolate every string before the combining box, cutting cable losses while keeping DC voltage below 1500 V throughout the roof.  

3. Agricultural greenhouse installations with 1500 V central inverters rely on the switch to give firefighters a 30-second total-array shutdown without entering the growing area.
