PV Prefabricated Cabin

The PV Prefabricated Cabin, supplied by China manufacturer Zhejiang Soutya New Energy LLC, is a factory-built 10 kV/0.8 kV power-collection and transformation substation constructed from corrosion-resistant, fire-retardant steel plate and IP54-rated sealing for decades of outdoor service. Inside the cabin a high-efficiency step-down transformer sits between a gas-insulated HV RMU (load-break switch + fuse protection) and a withdrawable LV switch-gear panel (ACB/MCCB 630 A–2500 A), while string-level DC combiner inputs with fuse holders and surge cartridges feed the inverters through integrated bulkheads. A four-remote RTU delivers telemetry, tele-control, tele-metering and tele-signal to utility SCADA, and an environmental control suite—intelligent temperature controller, exhaust fans, LED lighting and fire-suppression canister—maintains safe operating conditions. Engineered for 1 MW-plus ground-mount, large C&I rooftop or agrivoltaic PV parks, the skid-mounted cabin provides complete medium-voltage reception, step-down transformation, low-voltage distribution and string collection.

Application scenarios

1.Utility-scale Ground-mount Solar Parks (50 MW +) – The fully-integrated cabin is craned onto a simple foundation, immediately providing 10 kV collection, step-down to 0.8 kV and string combiner inputs for hundreds of inverters, while the four-remote RTU feeds the grid operator’s SCADA for code compliance.

2.Large C&I Rooftop Arrays (1–10 MW) – Positioned on a rooftop podium or adjacent parking lot, the IP54 steel house accepts HV utility service, reduces it to inverter voltage and houses DC combiners in one footprint, eliminating the need for a separate MV room or extensive cabling.

3.Agrivoltaic & Greenhouse Installations – Fire-retardant insulation and sealed louvers resist ammonia, dust and daily wash-down, while the internal temperature controller keeps transformer oil cool under reflective film and high-humidity crop zones.

4.Solar-to-EV Charging Hubs – Installed between the PV field and the charger plaza, the cabin delivers 0.8 kV directly to fast-charger switchboards; integrated surge arresters on both HV and LV sides guard against transients caused by frequent EV-load switching.

5.Modular 1 MW Blocks for EPCs – Factory pre-wired HV RMU, LV switch-gear, DC combiners and RTU mean the block is energized within hours of arrival, giving EPCs a repeatable, plug-and-play solution that shortens project schedules and reduces onsite civil costs.
